Italy trial for Steyn

Springbok coach Peter de Villiers says Francois Steyn has a chance to stake his claim to be the number two flyhalf for the Springboks when he starts in that position against Italy at Newlands on Saturday. De Villiers says he cannot ignore a player with Steyn's talent and World Cup experience, but warns that it can backfire. He says Steyn is not guaranteed a place in the Tri-Nations team and could still find himself playing Currie Cup rugby this year.
