Great start for Du Toit


Natalie du Toit picked her first gold medal at the Paralympics in Beijing yesterday.

Du Toit clocked a time of 1min 6.74sec in the 100m butterfly clinching the gold. She won the one of 16 medals up for grabs for swimming. With such a great start she will be hoping to get her hands on the four medals on offer. In the 2004 Athens games Du Toit picked up five gold and one silver medal, an amazing feat which she will try an repeat.

She will be going for gold later today in the Woman's 100m Freestyle, the race is scheduled to start at 15h37 South African time.
